How We Got Started
From our Founder, Kent Ambrose
I started in the HVAC industry in 1977 in my father’s company as an installation helper. I then worked my way up over the next 10 years. While doing this, I attended numerous air conditioning, heating, and duct design schools and college at East Texas State University, UT Arlington, and the University of Arkansas. I received my air conditioning and heating license in Arkansas and ran my own company for the next 2 years.
In 1989, I relocated back to my roots here in central Texas and became involved with the City of Austin Energy Program. It was a revelation to me, and I really enjoyed saving my customers money by cutting their utility bills & helping them receive rebates from the utilities. I have been doing this in Austin ever since returning.
I received my HVAC license from the State of Texas in 1994 and have enjoyed evolving on the cutting edge of energy efficiency thanks in large part to the City of Austin Energy Program.
It was a revelation to me, and I really enjoyed saving my customers money by cutting their utility bills & helping them receive rebates from the utilities.
